About the Artist
A native of New York City, Judith Einstman studied Graphic Arts and Illustration  at the Pratt Institute, where she picked up her first set of pastels and dropped them just as fast. They broke. Years later, after launching her youngest son at the first grade, Judith returned to art school and picked up pastels (same set) again. This time, she had a much better teacher and a long love affair with the medium began.

Her husband's career with the Corps of Engineers made it possible for her to study with master artists and printmakers in Germany, as well as in the United States, and to show her work at American facilities and in German salons. She had several One Person Shows in the Frankfurt Community Theater and at the Main Library in Frankfurt am Main and participated in exhibitions in Neu-Isenburg and Langen in Hesse.

Judith's pastels and serigraph prints have won awards in Regional, National and International Exhibitions. She has exhibited in galleries and museums across the United States. Her work is in private, University and Corporate collections in the United States, Europe and the Far East.

She lives in Frederick County, Virginia with her husband and two very large, affectionate dogs, in a house that is best described as a "work in progress".
